The Mitsubishi Mining Company supported by the Japanese Imperial Army, capitalized on the slave/forced labor of the American POWs at their copper mine near Hanawa, Japan. Mitsubishi and the Japanese Army victimized, enslaved, and subjected the 500 POWs to horrifying physical and mental torture and abuse to aid this company39;s effort to help the War.
